CAPS awards three quarterly education grants of $300 each to
qualifying CAPS members. The purpose is to support scientific
research and professional development not fully funded by the
state. There are a few simple rules:

1. |
All CAPS
members are eligible except Officers and Directors of CAPS. |
|
2. |
Travel to
meetings, outside research projects, publication of scientific
works, purchase of research equipment and supplies are
examples of valid funding requests. Final decisions on
awarding grants will be the responsibility of the Grants and
Awards Subcommittee. |

3. |
Funds must
be used for the purpose intended and must be used within six
months of the date of application. |
|
4. |
Applications not funded during one quarter are eligible for
funding during the subsequent quarter without the need for
reapplication. |
|
5. |
Members may
receive only one grant per calendar year. |
|
6. |
Attach a
copy of the seminar announcement (if available) or a copy of
literature announcing the event/material for which funding is
requested. |
